The Denver Broncos were tied for the best record last season with the Atlanta Falcons and lost in the Divisional Round. They lost to the Ravens in the first ever double overtime game at home. Quarterback, Peyton Manning had a great first season in Denver throwing for 4,659 yards, 37 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions. Manning threw a late interception at the end of the first overtime that lead to the Ravens to take over and few plays later kicker Justin Tucker kicked a 47 yard field goal to win the game. For Manning it was the eighth time his team had been eliminated in their opening playoff game, which is a record and twice as many as any other player. The Broncos made some changes in the off-season signing former Patriots Wide Receiver, Wes Welker to a two year $12 million dollar contract.
Broncos’s Off-Season Moves:
Key Additions: Wes Welker, (WR. Free Agent Signing), Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, (CB, Free Agent Signing), Sylvester Williams, (DT, Drafted), Montee Ball, (RB, Drafted).
Key Departures
Willis McGahee, (RB, Released), D.J. Williams, (ILB, Released and Signed with the Chicago Bears), Joe Mays, (LB, Released and Signed with the Houston Texans).
Biggest Question Heading into the season:
Who will be the Broncos starting Running Back? Ronnie Hillman, rookie Montee Ball or Knowshon Moreno?
Big E’s Final Thoughts and Prediction:
The Broncos have the team good enough to win it all thats not even a question. They have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time under center but they don’t have a legit running game and in order to win a Super Bowl championship a team should have a balance team. They have one of the best defenses no question about that too.
Big E’s Prediction:
13-3 (First in AFC West): The Broncos will finish with the same record as last season and have the best record in the NFL once again. Can they get the job done this time and win it all?
